WCHS Offers Accelerated Algebra 1 Opportunity
SPREAD THE WORD! - Acceleration Opportunity! Incoming WCHS 9th graders have the opportunity to take Accelerated Algebra I beginning in late July 2025.
IMPORTANT: The deadline to register for the course is noon on Monday, July 21! Please complete the form below!
To participate in the course, students must...
- Take a pre-test that will be administered during the week of July 21 at the Washington County Board of Education.
-Be scheduled to take Advanced Geometry in the Fall of 2025 at WCHS.
-Be prepared to work diligently and at a fast pace to master the skills necessary for further math classes.
The course format will require students to attend two weekly in-person sessions and three days of online instruction through Google Classroom.
WCHS is excited to offer this opportunity which directly aligns with Advanced Course policy requirement that aligns with statutory regulation KRS 158.6459(2).
***Students who do not achieve a passing score on the pre-test may still take the Accelerated Algebra I course, but must have a signed parent acknowledgement.
