Morris Named District Athletic Director/Coordinator for 2025-2026 School Year

(SPRINGFIELD, Ky.) –Darren Morris has been named District Athletic Director/Coordinator for Washington County Schools for the 2025-2026 school year. Additionally, Morris will serve as head coach of the Washington County High School Commanderette Volleyball team. Morris is a 2006 graduate of Nelson County High School, and attended Elizabethtown Community & Technical College. He previously served in coaching positions at Thomas Nelson High School for eight years and at Bardstown High School for two years. He also served as an assistant athletic director at TNHS for four years. He is in his 11th season in coaching high school sports. “I applied for this position because I wanted the opportunity to lead athletics,” says Morris. “I am excited to work with the coaches and set them up for success. I hope to include the community in our growth and build each individual sport into a great environment for our students.”

Morris is engaged to Krysti Dickerson, and has a daughter, Nova and two stepdaughters, Khloie and Hailey.
